Varianza común del método: el caso de los cuestionarios
Resumen
Los resultados de una investigacion con 70 jugadores de fútbol americano, cuyo objetivo es identificar la presencia de la varianza común del rnetodo atribuible al uso del cuestionario y a la deseabilidad social, revelan la existencia de un factor no identificado en el que cargan 18 de los 24 reactivos y que deseabilidad social no es el factor sesgante. El documento define que es varianza común del método, analiza los riesgos a los que enfrentan los usuarios de cuestionarios y presenta altemativas útiles para diagnosticar y corregir sesgos que afectan las relaciones entre constructos.
AbstractResults of a study conducted with 70 american football players of the same team, wich objetive is to identify the presence of the common method variance attributed to survey desing and social desirability, show the presence of a non-identified factor that loads on 18 of the 24 items and that social desirability is not the biasing factor This paper defines common method variance and analyzes risks that survey researchers face and lists useful solutions that apply in identifying and correcting biases that affect relationships among constructs.
